An invitation to join Council’s “Have Your Say” Panel

Georges River Council is establishing its first Have Your Say Panel, and is inviting local residents to be involved. andnbsp; andldquo;Community consultation and community engagement is an important part of Councilandrsquo;s strategic direction as it helps gauge a better understanding of our communityandrsquo;s views,andrdquo; said Georges River Council Mayor Kevin Greene. andnbsp; andldquo;We also want to ensure the community has effective methods of communicating with Council, and the Have Your Say Panel is something that is being introduced in an attempt to improve our ongoing engagement with the community. andnbsp; andldquo;Anyone over 18 who lives, works, studies or visits the Georges River Council area can become part of the Panelandrdquo; he added. andnbsp; The Panel will give local people the opportunity to comment on issues affecting their local community.andnbsp; andnbsp; andldquo;People who sign up to the Have Your Say Panel can expect to receive regular updates about Council projects and programs that seek community feedback,andrdquo; explained Mayor Greene. andnbsp; Joining the Have Your Say Panel is free.
