Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Jack Jacovou is inviting creative young artists to design the official logo for the 2014 Hurstville City Council Australia Day Festival.

Mayor Jacovou said the competition is open to children in year’s three to six in the Hurstville local government area.

“We are looking forward to seeing what great designs our local young artists have to offer as part of this unique competition,” he said.

“The festival will celebrate ‘All Things Australian’ and students are encouraged to use the theme as inspiration for their design.”

Along with being used in all of the Council’s promotional material, the winning design will also be published in advertisements in the St George and Sutherland Shire Leader.
