Author talk: Michael Mobbs to visit Hurstville City Library

Leading sustainability expert and author, Michael Mobbs will be a special guest speaker at Hurstville City Library on Thursday, 22 September 2011.

Over the past 30 years, Michael has worked as a lawyer specialising in environmental law with a great interest for sustainable design practice including project management.

His book, Sustainable House was first published more than 12 years ago and this second edition highlights the successes and practical aspects of the project which saw Michael convert his inner city terrace into a sustainable home.

Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Philip Sansom is encouraging the community to come along and be part of this unique author talk that will give insight on how to create a more environmentally efficient living space.

“Council is delighted to have Michael visit Hurstville, and his book provides great advice on how to convert your kitchen, bathroom, water supply, energy and waste system to green alternatives as well as tips for working with builders and engineers,” he said.

“The revised edition of Sustainable House also provides practical tips for people who are planning to build or renovate a home”

Michael Mobbs will sign copies of his book at the author talk. The book will also be available for purchase at the event.
