Call for entries - Refugeez! exhibition opening at the Hurstville Museum Gallery

Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Vince Badalati is inviting budding artists from across the St George region to contribute works for upcoming art exhibition, Refugeez! at the Hurstville Museum Gallery to commemorate Refugee Week.
Mayor Badalati said Refugee Week (19 June – 25 June 2016) is a national event that celebrates the contribution refugees have made to Australia and encourages support between communities.
“Hurstville City Council and Advance Diversity Services will present this special exhibition from Saturday, 4 June 2016, which will reflect upon the perceptions and lived experiences of refugees. People with refugee experience are particularly encouraged to participate,” he said.
“Visitors will be invited to vote for their favourite artwork, and a Popular Choice Award prize will be announced at a Refugee Week event on Thursday 16 June 2016.” he said.
All entries must be photographed and submitted by email together with the artist registration form available on the link below.
Submissions for the Refugeez! art exhibition will close on Friday 6 May 2016 .

Friday, 13 May 2016 – Confirmation to artists of acceptance of work for show
Tuesday, 31 May 2016 – All artworks to be delivered to Hurstville Civic Centre
