Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Jack Jacovou is inviting the community to experience Hurstville Museum and Gallery’s latest exhibition, Thursday Dragons.

Mayor Jacovou said the exhibition features a colourful mix of watercolour and acrylic paintings of different sizes by local artists, Susan Ghosn, Christine Miller and Brigitte De Vere.

“All born in the Year of the Dragon, the three artists meet on Thursdays to engage in art activities and spirited discussions of creativity and life,” he said.

“This exhibition displays their Thursday works as well as those painted individually.

“Thursday Dragons is on show until 25 May 2014 and most of the artworks are for sale.

“Additionally, the artists will be engaged in their Thursday art activities in the Museum & Gallery on 8 and 22 May 2014 from 2.00pm – 3.30pm.

“Visitors are welcome to observe these sessions.”

Mayor Jacovou said the Hurstville Museum and Gallery is proud to present art and exhibitions by individuals and groups from a diverse cross-section of the community.
