Community Appreciation Dinner to Thank Dick and Jenny Caine

Georges River Council invites you to attend the Community Appreciation Dinner to commemorate Dick and Jenny Caine for their contributions to the Georges River area on Thursday 24 August at Club Central, Hurstville. Dick Caine is a well-known and respected member of the Georges River area. With his wife Jenny, Dick has leased the Carss Park Memorial Pool for 50 years and has taught many locals to swim, improve fitness in the gym and has taken so many to higher levels of achievements. Dick Caine has also trained and mentored 17 World and Olympic champions as well as St George Illawarra Rugby League teams. Over the years, Team Caine has included swimming greats Michelle Ford, Susie Maroney, Janelle Elford, Stacey Gartrell, triathlon stars Michellie Jones, Greg Welch and Chris McCormack, Aussie Rugby Union captain Phil Kearns, Rugby league stars including Lance Thompson, Olympic cycling medallist Brett Dutton and his brother Stuart, Australian Open Surf Champion and boxing greats, Jeff Fenech, Anthony Mundine and Kostya Tszyu. Many of which will be in attendance on the night. Outside of his contributions to sports, Dick has helped raise millions of dollars for charities including the St George Hospital Cancer Care Centre and the Bali Christmas Remembrance Day. He has even assisted local pools, rotary clubs, many sporting clubs and schools.
