Council inviting expressions of interest for Library Focus Group
Georges River Council will soon be undertaking an extensive review of all of its librariesandrsquo; Service Delivery Model and local residents are being called on to help. As part of Councilandrsquo;s newly endorsed Library Strategy 2017-2020, Council is seeking expressions of interest from members of the community to join a Library Focus Group. Members of the group will be consulted to assist with an extensive review of Georges River Librariesandrsquo; Service Delivery Model and other service models to determine which model will deliver a sustainable contemporary library service to the Georges River community. The Library Focus Group will also be consulted to ensure the new Service Delivery Model for Councilandrsquo;s libraries is broadly informed and inclusive of issues facing the community, and is one that best meets the goals set out in the Library Strategic Plan. Council encourages all residents of the local government area aged 15 and over to submit their expression of interest for joining the Library Focus Group by Friday 3 November via Councilandrsquo;s Have Your Say webpage. To be eligible for the group you must be a member of Georges River Libraries. Successful applicants will join the group, which will also comprise of Council staff and other stakeholders.
