Posted 31 August 2016 by (Hurstville News)

Georges River Council is inviting everyone to attend the musical play Always… Patsy Cline by Ted Swindley at the Hurstville Civic Theatre on Thursday 22 September 2016.

The musical is about legendary country singer Patsy Cline who tragically passed away in 1963 at the age of 30.

This fantastic performance is more than a tribute to the country singer, and is based on a true story about Patsy’s friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger.

The show’s title was inspired by Patsy’s letters to Louise which were always signed ‘Love always… Patsy Cline.

Throughout the musical, the audience will hear over 20 of Patsy’s unforgettable hits such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams, and Walking After Midnight .

The musical production has enjoyed great success all over the United States, including a successful run off-Broadway.

Always… Patsy Cline has also been enjoyed internationally by audiences in Canada and the UK, and will now be performed at the Hurstville Civic Theatre.

This new production, directed by AFI award winner Denny Lawrence, stars award winning Australian Country Music singing sensation Courtney Conway as Patsy Cline, and popular stage star Mandi Lodge as Louise Seger.

Everyone is encouraged to come along to this world-class event, and especially those with an interest in the work of Patsy Cline and musical theatre.
