Cricket young guns coming to Hurstville for JLT One-day Cup matches

As part of the Georges River Summer of Cricket, and in association with Cricket Australia, Hurstville Oval will host four free cricket matches as part of this yearandrsquo;s JLT One-Day Cup, with the first match to be played on Friday 6 October. JLT Cup squads were announced on Friday 22 September. Key players who will be heading for Hurstville include New South Wales spinner Nathan Lyon, Tasmanian fast bowler Jackson Bird, Peter Nevill, Callum Ferguson, Cameron White, Peter Siddle, George Bailey, and some exciting young guns including Henry Thornton and Clint Hinchliffe. Mayor of Georges River Council Kevin Greene said, andldquo;The four match fixtures in Hurstville present a fantastic opportunity for local residents and the wider Sydney community to come along and see some of Australiaandrsquo;s finest up and coming cricket stars in action for free. andldquo;Hurstville Oval has a long history of hosting international and professional level cricket including previous editions of the domestic one-day cup, and International Womenandrsquo;s Matches. andnbsp;andldquo;Since its official opening in 1911, the Oval has seen some of Australiaandrsquo;s very best cricketers as well as rising stars play here. andldquo;Weandrsquo;re pleased to be able to offer such a first-class wicket, which is lovingly curated by Head Curator, Adam Lewis, along with his small team.
