Posted 25 January 2010 by (Hurstville News)

Mayor Sansom said the Dangerous Dreams exhibition celebrates a decade of surrealist paintings, drawings and prints by local artist Beric Henderson.

“Dangerous Dreams conjures the magic and mystique of the carnival,” he said.

“The unique and fantastical artworks include crazed clowns, suspicious hitchhikers, sideshows and other imaginings by Beric.”

Mayor Sansom said Beric’s artworks pay homage to cinematic legends including Humphrey Bogart and Alfred Hitchcock.

“They are accompanied by unique ceramic sculptures by local artist Elva Henderson and her students,” he said.

“I invite you to come along and experience Beric’s mesmerising visions in Dangerous Dreams .”

Dangerous Dreams will officially open on Saturday, 6 February 2010 at 5.00pm .

This free exhibition will run until 27 March 2010. Most works are for sale.
