Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Jack Jacovou is inviting the community to come along to a new exhibition that celebrates the opening of Hurstville City Council’s 2013 Discovery Festival of Arts and Health.

The new exhibition, titled Felines, foliage and fired fish, is proudly presented in conjunction with local artists from St George Mental Health Arts Development group, as part of Mortdale Community Services.

Mayor Jacovou said the exhibition will showcase a range of mixed-media that the group has created on their journey of self expression, personal calm and healing.

“Felines, foliage and fired fish presents artworks that have been made from Chinese ink, acrylics, oils and ceramics,” he said.

“I invite everyone in the community to come along and explore this unique exhibition and the many events as part of the 2013 Discovery Festival of Arts and Health.”

The official opening of Felines, foliage and fired fish will be held at Hurstville City Museum & Gallery, MacMahon Street, Hurstville, on Friday, 11 October 2013 at 6.00pm.
