Double Date night at Hurstville Entertainment Centre

Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Vince Badalati is inviting local movie buffs to a free double date night on the first Wednesday of every month.

Mayor Badalati said the upcoming double date night will take place on Wednesday, 6 April 2016 and features a screening of David Lynch’s The Elephant Man and Mulholland Drive .

“The free screenings of classic and cult films are a fantastic way to have a night out that is both fun and affordable,” he said.

“Double Date night is held each month, with the first films beginning at 7pm, followed by a short interval, with the second feature starting from 9pm.

“There is a great variety of films on show each month, including cult films from directors and actors such as David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino and Molly Ringwald.”

Mayor Badalati said there is also a special family program during the April school holidays.

“There will be Anime April features, with the screening of anime classics from Japan’s Studio Ghibli including My Neighbour Totoro on Friday, 22 April and Spirited Away on Saturday, 23 April,” he said.

“School holiday film programs will commence at 4pm each day and are free for the whole family to enjoy.”

Snacks, platters and refreshment bar available at all Double Date Night screenings (proof of age ID required for alcohol purchases and some films).
