Hurstville City Library is launching a series of seminars by leading business experts targeting small business and prospective business owners within the local government area.

Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Jack Jacovou said the initiative is designed to engage local businesses and provide them with practical ways they can promote and grow their businesses.

“To kick off the seminars, well-known business expert Adrienne McLean will be special guest speaker at the library on Thursday, 31 July 2014,” he said.

“Adrienne is founder of her own business, The Speakers Practice, and will present an informative talk aimed at small, home-based and prospective business owners.

“The seminar titled Increase Your Visibility – 6 Ways To Promote Your Business will present practical advice as to how to promote businesses and ways to make them considerably more visible in the marketplace.

“Competition plays an integral part in the success of a business so it is imperative that small business owners learn ways to stand out and gain a competitive edge.

“I encourage business owners to come along as it will provide an opportunity to learn new skills for promoting their business, along with access to a range of resources to assist business owners.

“Adrienne has a wealth of business knowledge and Council is delighted that she will visit Hurstville City.”
