Hurstville City Council officer named trainee of the year

Katie is a Business Administration trainee at Hurstville City Library Museum and Gallery.

She received the Trainee of the Year award for her outstanding commitment to providing excellent customer service and business administration support to Council.

Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Philip Sansom praised Katie for her positive ‘can do’ work ethic and commitment to achieving great results.

“Katie competed against 30 budding trainees to take home this illustrious award,” he said.

“She is a great asset to Council and I congratulate her on this outstanding professional achievement.”

Mayor Sansom said Council has extended Katie’s traineeship due to her outstanding work performance.

“Katie will now continue to work towards completing Certificate IV in Business Administration,” he said.

“Council is pleased to offer apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities to young people and to assist them in their professional career development.”
