Hurstville Excellence in Business Awards

Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Steve McMahon is inviting local business members to join in celebrating their outstanding contributions to economic and community life on Friday 8 June 2012.

Mayor McMahon said the Hurstville Excellence in Business Awards, now in its 10th year year, recognises the great work and dedication of local businesses.

“This is Council’s way of applauding the outstanding contribution of our local businesses and the vital role they play in boosting the local economy,” he said.

“Good businesses are the backbone to our economy, vital in servicing our residents and important in attracting visitors to shop, dine and a range of other activities.

“Our local businesses are an important part of the community and impact on the long-term sustainability of Hurstville city.”

Mayor McMahon said the event promotes core business values such as customer service and innovation, and acknowledges achievements in specific industry categories.

“This year we also have a new category to acknowledge the best business person of the year,” he said.

“It is a great night for local business member to network and be with other industry peers and I encourage you to book your ticket now and enjoy a night of accolades, fine food and great live entertainment.”
