Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Vince Badalati is inviting the community to take part in the annual Mayoral Golf Day to help raise much needed funds for the Cancer Care Centre at St George Hospital.

Mayor Badalati said the event will be held at Hurstville Golf Course on Friday, 4 March, 2016.

“Council is pleased to host this charity event which provides golfing enthusiasts a chance to take part in a fun tournament as well as raise funds for a worthy cause,” he said.

“The day includes a sausage sizzle before tee-off, a delicious seafood lunch and/or dinner for the players (depending on what session they play), drinks, special guest speakers, raffles and auction items.”

“The Lugarno and St George Lions Club also volunteer their time to coordinate the barbecues and generally help out on the day.”

Mayor Badalati said Council is a proud supporter of St George Hospital.

“Over the past thirteen years, Council has raised a staggering $780,000 through its annual fundraising initiatives for this important regional health facility,” he said.

Mayor Badalati said tickets for the 2016 Mayoral Golf Day will be made up of teams with four players at a cost of $500, including either lunch or dinner for each round of players.
