Georges River Council is pleased to announce that the hilarious stage adaptation of behind-the-scenes insight into television icon, Lucille Ball, is coming to the Hurstville Entertainment Centre with the stage production Everybody Loves Lucy!. Acclaimed musical theatre star Elise McCann of South Pacific and Matilda the Musical fame will be reprising the role of Lucille Ball. Brimming with Lucille Ballandrsquo;s irrepressible spirit, this hilarious and surprisingly fascinating cabaret is a fitting tribute to a true trailblazer. The action takes place on the I Love Lucy soundstage, with sketches directly inspired by the series. Elise McCann, who co-wrote the piece, shows off her incredible vocals and a genuine understanding of just how pioneering Lucille Ball was throughout her career. The slapstick humour she mastered so well is also captured beautifully, and Ballandrsquo;s business acumen and less obvious artistic talents are also revealed to the audience.Everybody Loves Lucy! focuses on a pivotal period in American television.
