Posted 22 April 2016 by (Hurstville News)

Leading Australian journalist Greg Sheridan will visit Hurstville City Library as part of the 2016 Sydney Writers Festival on Thursday, 19 May 2016.

Having recently released his book, When We Were Young and Foolish, Greg Sheridan will reflect on his life and how he became friends with some of Australia’s political elite, including current and former Prime Ministers Malcolm Turnbull, Tony Abbott and Kevin Rudd, well before they became household names.

Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Vince Badalati said this event is a great opportunity to hear from one of Australia’s most highly regarded journalists, and is encouraging all members of the community to come along.

“Greg’s book follows his life from early childhood right through to his experiences in the world of conflicting politics,” he said.

“It also examines his experiences meeting some of Australia’s political leaders before they began their political rise.”

“With a career spanning as far back as 1979, Greg is a fantastic commentator on the political worlds of both Australia and Asia.”

Greg’s book will be available for sale and signing on the night.
