Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Steve McMahon said the St George Hospital’s Cancer Care Centre were the winners of the 2012 Hurstville City Council Mayoral Ball.

Mayor McMahon said the event raised $15,408 for the centre.

“The night was a lot of fun and it was great to see so many from our community enjoying themselves as well as helping raise much needed funds for this facility,” he said.

“The centre needs to raise $2.75 million to expand the centre so it can support the increasing number of cancer patients and provide a variety of treatments options under one roof.

“I am delighted that Hurstville City Council has raised more than $500,000 for St George Hospital cancer services over the past nine years.”

Mayor McMahon thanked the community, businesses and sponsors that participated in the Mayoral Ball.

“Without your continued support, this great event would not be possible,” he said.

The 2012 Mayoral Ball was proudly sponsored by:
