Music at Twilight Concerts a winner

Georges River Council invited music lovers across the local area to attend the final Music at Twilight Concert for 2016 at the St George Bank Auditorium.

Six years since the first Music at Twilight Concert series in 2010, this year featured some of Australia’s best musicians and entertainer’s in the heart of the Kogarah CBD.

Hosted by Council four times a year, the Music at Twilight Concert program presented a variety of music genres to local concert goers, including musical theatre, classical and jazz.

This year’s music event concluded on Wednesday 5 October with Highly Strung , a continuation of classical pieces performed by the Sydney Concert String Ensemble.

George Rivers Council Administrator John Rayner said: “George Rivers Council was delighted and proud to host the Music at Twilight Concerts once again. The feedback received from the events throughout the year has been outstanding.”

“Ninety-one per cent of attendees rated the Music at Twilight Concerts as excellent, with 88 per cent saying they would recommend the shows to family and friends.”

“I would like to thank the performers and visitors who made these events a success. With many attendees returning every year, I look forward to Music at Twilight 2017 being even bigger and better.”

Council hosts a number of events to bring people together to participate in local events within their community.

Council’s upcoming events calendar includes: Magic at Christmas, Australia Day Festival and Lunar New Year Festival.
