Local film lovers are invited to attend two heart-warming cinema screenings in Hurstville’s intimate Hurstville Civic Theatre in April. Hurstville City Library’s Fabulous Fashionistas screenings are part of the NSW Seniors Festival 2016.

Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Vince Badalati said the cutting edge documentary film explores the art of ageing in the company of six extraordinary women with an average age of 80.

“What they all have in common is a determination to make the most out of life and redefine expectations of old age.” he said.

Mayor Badalati said the theme of positive ageing is thought-provoking, creative and entertaining.

“Film has the power to remove us from the concerns of everyday life, open our minds to new ideas, and inspire – at any age,

“Hurstville City Library plays a significant cultural role in bringing thought-provoking cinema to the people of Hurstville City.” he said.
