Penshurst Branch Library is now permanently open between 1.00pm and 2.00pm from Monday to Friday to provide library patrons with uninterrupted use of the branch facilities and services.

Mayor of Hurstville, Cr Jack Jacovou said this change means the library is now fully operational on a week day basis.

“On average, 200 to 300 patrons visit Penshurst Branch Library each day, and this change to the operating hours will give community members more flexibility when they choose to visit the library ” he said.

“There are many great resources on offer for patrons to engage with whilst at the library including a technology hub which boasts computers, printers, photocopiers and free wi-fi.

“Other activities include monthly book chat group, author talks, school holiday programs, and special events specifically designed for seniors, children and families.

“You can also check out the eLibrary at www.hurstville.nsw.gov.au/lmg , where you can download a range of material including eBooks, eMagazines and audio books.
