“Our youth add so much to our community and this special week is our way of acknowledging and celebrating their contribution,” he said.

“Council has partnered with Howlaround Productions to present an alcohol-free, all age live music event.

“The Mix Youth Fest will be held at Hurstville Entertainment Centre on 13 April 2012 from 6.00pm to 10.00pm.

“It is set to be a great night.

“After a huge 2011 supporting the likes of Good Charlotte and Simple Plan, New Empire will be headlining the event.

“New Empire will be supported by Built on Secrets and Sound of Seasons as well as the up and coming band, Paratopia.

“It’s a great line-up for any music lover and a night not to be missed.

“There will also be free temporary tattoos available on the night.”

Tickets can be purchased for $10 plus booking fee at www.moshtix.com.au .

Once in, there are no pass-outs. There will also be food and drink available on the night from the Candy Bar (cash only).
